Former WVU baseball’s JJ Wetherholt, who was drafted to St. Louis this past year, started at shortstop during the Cardinal’s spring training game against the Washington Nationals two weekends in a row.
While the Cardinals came out on top both games, Wetherholt din’t see much connection with the bat. It is unknown if the 22-year-old will be seen in the starting lineup come regular season.
