The KenPom rankings are used by statistical college basketball fans to evaluate the true value of teams.
In the last update on the rankings, West Virginia was ranked at No. 48 following their home loss to Arizona.
After the win on Saturday against the No. 2 ranked team in the nation, the Iowa State Cyclones, WVU has jumped to No.39.
There are still six Big 12 teams ahead of the Mountaineers, but they have climbed significantly from their preseason ranking, where they were the second to last team in the Big 12.
