While West Virginia’s head coach, Rich Rodriguez, continues to hire new staff, Jacksonville State’s William Green will take over the defensive line coaching position, according to Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports/247 Sports.
Rodriguez is reportedly bringing over receivers coach Ryan Garrett and tight ends coach Michael Nysewander, making Green the third addition from Jacksonville State.
Green coached the Jacksonville State defensive line and served as their run game coordinator. In four seasons, the Gamecocks went 28-13, won back-to-back league titles in 2017-18 and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Football Championship Subdivision those seasons. He then spent one season with Rodriguez at the University of Louisiana Monroe before returning to Jacksonville State.
Rich Rodriguez hopes to have most of his coaching staff finalized by January 1st.
