The recognition for West Virginia senior wing Tucker DeVries as he was ranked as a Top-100 college basketball player entering the 2024-2025 season by CBS Sports.
DeVries transferred to WVU when his father, Darian, was hired as the program’s head coach this offseason. He was previously a two-time Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year at Drake.
DeVries came in at No. 50 on the list and was the sole Mountaineer on the list. He was the only NCAA Division I men’s basketball player to average at least 20.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.5 steals per game in the 2023-2024 season.
In 23 minutes, DeVries scored 18 points, had four assists, two rebounds, two steals, and a block in WVU’s scrimmage against UCharleston (DII).
DeVries and West Virginia begin their season on Nov. 4 at home against Robert Morris.
