West Virginia defensive lineman TJ Jackson is tied for third in quarterback pressure among power-four players.
A quarterback pressure is when a defensive player applies pressure to the quarterback as they attempt to pass, forcing the quarterback to get rid of the ball earlier than intended or get out of the pocket. Jackson has 16 quarterback pressures this season.
This is Jackson’s first season with the Mountaineers after transferring from Troy during the offseason. He was named the Big 12 Newcomer of the Week for the previous week for his performance against Pitt.
So far on the season, Jackson also had 11 total (six solo), including seven tackles for loss, two-and-a-half sacks, a quarterback hit and a fumble recovery.
