Former West Virginia and current St.Louis Cardinals outfielder Victor Scott II robbed fellow rookie, San Diego Padres’ Jackson Merrill of an extra-base hit Tuesday, making a breathtaking play.
Scott started the season on St.Louis’ opening day roster but was sent down to AAA after initially struggling. He has since been recalled and starts in center, usually batting ninth. Scott won a MiLB Gold Glove in 2023.
