Beloved West Virginian Charles Wesley Godwin performed this past weekend at MetLife Stadium on his tour. Ending his show with his rendition of Country Roads, Godwin brought out David Sills IV and several other football players.
Sunday morning, Godwin took his love of West Virginia a step further and was featured on SportsCenter. Godwin spoke about his tour, touring with Luke Combs and his love of West Virginia football. Godwin discussed his two attempts at trying out for the West Virginia Mountaineers, both under the late Bill Stewart and Dana Holgorsen.
Godwin spoke to the football team ahead of the 2023-2024 season, highlighting how exceptional each player was coming into Morgantown. Godwin’s speech was highlighted throughout the season.
