West Virginia women’s basketball will return to the court for the first time in eight days, when they host Wright State on Monday.
The Mountaineers are off to a 9-0 start, but haven’t played since they beat Delaware State on Dec. 10.
Tip-off for Monday’s game is set for an unusual 10 a.m., as it is WVU’s Education Day game. The game will be televised on ESPN+, and this is WVU’s second-to-last non-conference game of the season.
West Virginia leads the Big 12 in defense, holding opponents to only 51.2 points per game. JJ Quinerly is fifth in the Big 12 in scoring, while three Mountaineers rank in the top five of the conference in steals.
WVU is currently 22nd in the NET Rankings, Wright State is 215th.
