Former West Virginia and current Houston head coach Dana Holgorsen had some words to say about facing his former team this season.
Gold and Blue Nation’s Ryan Decker asked Holgorsen at the Big 12 Media Days on what it would be like to face West Virginia for the first time.
“I’ve known Neal for a long time,” Dana Holgorsen said. “So, it’ll be OK. And then you tee it up and then you really don’t give a crap of who you’re playing.”
Holgorsen coached eight seasons at West Virginia from 2011-2018, going 61-41 during that span. He left after the 2018 season to take the head coaching job at Houston, who is making their Big 12 debut this season.
The West Virginia at Houston matchup is slated for Thursday, October 12 at 7 p.m. ET (6 p.m. local time) on FS1.
