One of the most beloved Mountaineers in recent history Gabe Osabuohien was involved in a car accident, leaving him in the hospital.
According to a screenshot of a friend’s Facebook post posted to Twitter, Osabuohien has two fractured vertebrae in his neck and also has a fractured nose.
“He has two fractured vertebrae in his neck and a fractured nose, and as of right now we are waiting on word from the doctors regarding his MRI’s,” the post from Tyler Mileto said. The tweet with the screenshot of the post, along with pictures of Osabuohien have since been deleted due to the sensitivity of the pictures, and people close to Osabuhien wanting them taken down.
Since making the original post, Mileto said to “please delete any post that you have made already, and remain praying, thank you!!”
Osabuohien graduated from West Virginia in spring of 2022, after spending three seasons in a Mountaineer uniform.
