West Virginia women’s basketball — who was widely considered a bubble team — earned a 10-seed in the NCAA Tournament.
The Mountaineers who are under the direction of first-year head coach Dawn Plitzuweit lost in the Big 12 Quarterfinals to Oklahoma State, but hope remained. That hope prevailed as WVU will play Arizona in the first round of the NCAA Tournament in Greenville Regional 1.
The Mountaineers and Wildcats will play in College Park, Maryland, on Friday.
