Kansas head coach Bill Self to miss game against West Virginia

Kansas Jayhawks’ head coach Bill Self will not coach against West Virginia in the Big 12 quarterfinal matchup against West Virginia, as the Hall of Fame head coach is recovering from an illness.

Kansas athletics released a statement saying, “Self is doing well and receiving great care at the University of Kansas Health System.”

Norm Roberts, an assistant of Self and the Kansas team since 2012, will step in for the top-seeded Jayhawks against the Mountaineers.

West Virginia and Kansas will meet for the third time this season at 3 p.m. from T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri.
