Quinerly receives multiple Big 12 awards

WVU’s JJ Quinerly has been named to the All-Big 12 first team as well as the conference’s all-defensive team.

In the regular season of her second year in Morgantown, Quinerly averaged 14.2 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 2.1 assists on the offensive end. On the defensive end, Quinerly brought relentless ball pressure to Big 12 guards all season, as the Norfolk, Virginia native recorded 60 steals on the year, good for just over two per game.

These accolades come in just days after Quinerly and the Mountaineers completed a season sweep of the Baylor Bears just before shipping out to Kansas City for the Big 12 Tournament.
