Former Mountaineer and current sports figure Pat McAfee was very happy when West Virginia decided to add Blaine Stewart to their coaching staff.
“I’ve literally known Blaine since he was a child,” McAfee said in a tweet. Blaine’s dad, Bill Stewart coached McAfee at WVU and McAfee says was “a legend.”
“The facility was a second home for Blaine when he was growing up, now he has his own room there,” McAfee added.
Stewart was officially announced on Friday, after spending the last four seasons on head coach Mike Tomlin’s staff and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
“This is really cool,” McAfee said. “I’m so incredibly proud of you brother.”
