Adam Rittenberg of ESPN reports West Virginia offensive coordinator Graham Harrell is leaving West Virginia and taking up the same position at Purdue under new head coach Ryan Walters.
Harrell came to West Virginia after serving as the offensive coordinator at USC as the Trojans hired former Oklahoma head coach Lincoln Riley as their new head coach.
This past season was Harrell’s first season at West Virginia and former USC and Georgia quarterback JT Daniels transferred to West Virginia, following Harrell. Daniels is now back in the transfer portal after getting benched late in the year, and it appears as Harrell will be heading for new places as well.
Harrell has been a coordinator since 2016, first serving as the quarterbacks coach and offensive coordinator at North Texas, before going to USC, and then before coming to West Virginia. Prior to 2016, Harrell served as a position coach and analyst at Washington State.
