Special men’s soccer senior class honored by WVU

Last Sunday, the WVU men’s soccer program honored seven seniors prior to its 3-2 win over Sun Belt Conference opponent Georgia State.

Those seven seniors are forward Joseph Biafora, defender Elijah Borneo, forward Adam Burchell, goalkeeper Jacob Castro, defender Aaron Denk Gracia, midfielder Sam Morgan, and forward Ike Swiger.

These seniors have seen lots of success in their respective careers, and this class has established a winning culture at WVU.

Burchell leads the way as far as production goes for the Mountaineers this season, as the England native has two goals and three assists.

Burchell played for the University of Charleston from 2018-2021, winning a Division II National Championship when head coach Dan Startford was still with the Eagles.

Denk Gracia has also registered a goal and assist for the Mountaineers during the 2022 season.

Biafora has a goal on the season while Borneo has an assist registered.

These seniors will have another opportunity to reach the NCAA Tournament, but they will need a strong showing in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament.
