West Virginia heads to Oklahoma State looking to continue late season push

West Virginia (5-4-6, 2-1-3) is heading to Oklahoma for a two game road late in the season, with Oklahoma State (10-2-3, 3-1-2) being the first opponent. 

West Virginia is coming off a 3-1 dominating victory over Baylor, and has only lost one of their last six matches, losing to No. 22 Texas on October 13th. Senior forward Lauren Segalla was the star against Baylor, recording her third goal of the season, as well as her first assist of the season. Junior midfielder AJ Rodriguez also recorded her third goal of the season in the match,

Meanwhile, Oklahoma State also picked up a win in their last match, with a 1-0 victory over Iowa State thanks to a 83rd minute penalty kick goal from Grace Yochum.  The win was Oklahoma State’s first since their 1-0 victory over Kansas State September 25th. 

The Mountaineers are looking to pick up their second road win of the season, as they struggled to find success away from home, with a 1-2-3 record. 

West Virginia is 9-3 all time against the Pokes, although they have lost the last three times they have met, with the past two matchups both going to extra time. The Mountaineers had won the first nine matchups over Oklahoma State prior to the three game losing streak. 

The player to watch for Oklahoma State will be senior forward Grace Yochun, who provided the match winning goal in their last game. The senior from Houston, Texas has eight goals on the season, which leads the Pokes, along with an assist for a team high 17 points.
