The Mountaineers headed to Oklahoma for their final road trip of the season, and walked away from the first of two in the state with a 1-1 draw against the Pokes.
West Virginia (5-4-7, 2-1-4), dominated the shots (18), and shots on target (7). Oklahoma State (10-2-5, 3-1-4), was held to only 9 shots, with 3 on target. West Virginia defender Gabrielle Robinson, who is third on the team in minutes played this season, got her first goal of the year.
Oklahoma State got the scoring started just before the half, Megan Haines scored her second goal of the season in the 37th minute, getting her shot past Mountaineer keeper Kayza Massey.
West Virginia would go into the half looking at a 1-0 deficit, with senior midfielder AJ Rodriguez leading the way with two shots for the Mountaineers.
The Mountaineers would lead an offensive charge in the second half, with 13 of their 18 total shots in the match, coming in the second period.
Despite all of the Mountaineer shots towards Oklahoma State keeper Jordan Nytes, it would take until the final 10 minutes for West Virginia to find the equalizer. In the 82nd minute Gabrielle Robinson got on the end of a Julianne Vallerand pass and put it in the back of the net to level the match.
Julianne Vallerand led the Mountaineers in shots with four and shots on goal with two to go along with her assist, which was her second of the season. AJ Rodriguez also picked up three shots in the match.
