Former WVU defensive back ,Sean Mahone, has found a new home in Florida. The Jaguars announced they signed the 5’1’’ 200-pound safety on Sunday morning.
Mahone contributed to 55 career games for the Mountaineers, the most in program history. He tallied 81 total tackles, half a sack, a forced fumble, and two interceptions last season.
Although Mahone is hopeful of making the 53-man roster, he comes into Jacksonville 4th on the depth chart. He would most likely have to beat out Andre Cisco and Daniel Thomas to win the backup strong safety position.
