Chris Henry Jr. is currently in eighth grade. Chris Henry Jr. has never played a varsity football game. Chris Henry Jr. has three Division I football offers, including one from West Virginia.
If the name Chris Henry rings a bell, it is because it should. Chris Henry played at West Virginia in 2003 and 2004, playing in 23 games, and catching 93 passes for 1,878 yards and 22 touchdowns.
It is not often a kid in the eighth grade is highly recruited by high level Division I programs. Chris Henry Jr. however, stands at 6-foot-3, just one inch shorter than his father. For Henry Jr., West Virginia is already in his blood. Not only did his dad play for the Mountaineers, but his after his father died in 2009, former Mountaineer Adam ‘PacMan’ Jones adopted Henry Jr. Jones played at West Virginia from 2001 until 2004, playing on the special teams unit as well as the defense for West Virginia.
After leaving West Virginia in 2004, Henry played for the Cincinnati Bengals for five seasons, racking up 1,826 yards and 21 touchdowns in 55 games played. Henry would die at the young age of 26, dying after falling out of the back of a moving pickup truck. Henry Jr. was only two years old at the time.
In addition to West Virginia, the other two offers Henry Jr. has received include Marshall and Grambling State.
