West Virginia women’s basketball head coach Mark Kellogg has been active in the transfer portal so far this offseason. After receiving a commitment from Texas Tech transfer Loghan Johnson, Virginia transfer Edessa Noyan is set to visit WVU this week.
Noyan is a 6’3 sophomore from Botkryka, Sweden, who has great size and can impact the game at the power four level. Last season, she averaged 5.7 points and 4.3 rebounds per game while shooting 40.7% from the field.
The Mountaineers are looking for another forward to pair with Jordan Thomas next season, and Noyan would be a great fit. This would be a big get for Mark Kellogg and his staff.
Noyan is also set to visit Purdue this week, another team in need of a good forward on their squad. It looks to be a two-team race for the Swedish guard early in her transfer portal process.
