MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (March 16, 2025) – The West Virginia University golf team returns to action in its spring schedule on Monday and Tuesday at The Johnnie-O at Sea Island at Sea Island Resort in St. Simons Island, Georgia.

Ten Top 100 teams will compete in the 13-team field, including No. 48 Kansas, No. 50 Marquette, No. 56 Florida Gulf Coast, No. 59 Michigan State, No. 66 Cincinnati, No. 70 Princeton, No. 85 Nebraska, No. 88 Memphis, No. 91 West Virginia, No. 94 Georgia Southern, UNCG, host Rutgers and Penn State.

West Virginia’s lineup will consist of seniors Max Green and Todd Duncan, juniors Kaleb Wilson and Carson Kammann and freshman Ryan Leach. Junior Westy McCabe will compete as an individual.

Golfers will tee off at 8 a.m. on Monday to play 36 holes, followed by the final 18 holes set to begin Tuesday morning. After this tournament, the Mountaineers will remain on the road to compete in the Schenkel Invitational in Statesboro, Georgia, Friday to Sunday.

“Getting to compete on a PGA Tour course is always exciting for our players,” coach Sean Covich said. “Sea Island is a special place, and we’re hoping that a strong finish to the spring season will start this week. But we must compete with confidence, maintain a positive attitude and keep fighting regardless of what the scoreboard says.”
