WATCH: Kyah Watson and JJ Quinerly talk Senior Day significance

Following a Senior Day victory over Cincinnati, two of WVU’s senior leaders spoke to the media about the day’s significance.

Both Quinerly and Watson were instrumental in the successful progression of the women’s basketball program last season. Quinerly joined the Mountaineers as a freshman and has only played for WVU at a collegiate level. Watson transferred to WVU from South Dakota in 2022 and has competed in the NCAA Tournament every season of her career.

Watson and Quinerly are two of 13 total Division I players averaging over three steals per game, at marks of 3.44 per game and 3.25 per game respectively. Quinerly also leads WVU in scoring while Watson leads in rebounds.
