They lost their next game to UTSA by a score of 44-36, making their record 7-2 and 3-2 in conference play.

They would win their next three over Rice, UAB, and No. 17 Tulane to finish the season 10-2 and finished 6-2 in the conference to finish fourth in the American Conference.

The Memphis offense was dominant in 2024, averaging 35.2 points per game, 442.1 total yards, 268.5 passing yards and 173.6 rushing yards per game.
