WVU Women’s Soccer Draws Against Arizona, Extends Unbeaten Streak

WVU women’s soccer extended their unbeaten streak to eight with a draw on the road against Arizona.

The Mountaineers traveled to take on the 7-3-1 Arizona Wildcats Sunday, looking to push their undefeated streak in Big-12 play to five.

The Mountaineers got out to an early lead in the 23rd minute with a goal by midfielder Lily McCarthy.

West Virginia kept the lead through the first half despite having three shots in the first half to Arizona’s five.

Arizona was able to even the score at one in the 48th minute with a goal by Nicole Dallin.

The score would remain tied through the second half, ending the game with a 1-1 draw.

The Mountaineers are now 8-2-2 on the season and 4-0-1 in conference play.

West Virginia will host UCF on October 4th in the “Pack it Pink” WVU medicine game at 7 pm. The game will be televised on ESPN+.
