The end of preseason marks an exciting time for football fans, as the regular season is on the horizon. However, it also marks roster cuts for each NFL team.
This morning, former Mountaineer WR David Sills V was waived by the New York Giants.
This doesn’t mark the first time Sills has been waived by the Giants. During the course of the 2021 season, he was waived by the Giants twice, once after preseason, and once in October. Both times he was re-signed to the Giants’ practice squad the following day.
In the 2022 season, he was released by the Giants in December and re-signed to the Giants’ practice squad shortly after the New Year. Sills is yet to break out in the NFL, hauling in only 11 receptions for 106 yards last season. Unless he is claimed by another team, he will most likely end up back on the Giants’ practice squad.
