Former West Virginia Mountaineer Gary Jennings won XFL Play of the Year as voted on by the fans.
Jennings, who plays for the St. Louis Battlehawks, caught a fake punt from Sterling Hofrichter for a 64-yard touchdown during a Week 8 win over the Vegas Vipers on April 8.
He finished the 2023 season with 11 receptions for 149 yards and three touchdowns. The Battlehawks finished the season 7-3 and narrowly missed out on the playoffs, losing on a tiebreaker to the Seattle Sea Dragons.
His performance has now led to him getting invited to the Carolina Panthers rookie minicamp, with the XFL announcing the invitation on Wednesday.
