West Virginia SPEAR Jasir Cox has heard from multiple organizations and will look to either hear his name called or sign with a team during the NFL Draft this week.
According to Tanner Phifer, sources tell him that Cox has heard from the Chiefs, Dolphins, Chargers, Raiders, Steelers, and Jaguars, according to a source he says.
One of the teams who has had the most interest in Cox is the reigning Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs welcomed Cox in for a visit on Apr. 7, and like his ability to play multiple positions on defense. Cox is originally from Kansas City and that would be a return home for him.
This season Cox had 62 total tackles and 6 TFL. Cox spent four seasons at North Dakota State prior to West Virginia.
“I’ve just been working on my body and working on my mental,” Cox said after WVU’s Pro Day. “Heard from a couple teams. They said they liked my athleticism and my height and weight and how I’m able to be agile.”
